Hi, I’m Graeme. I have a passion for Languages, Maths, English, Science and the Law. I have a huge amount of experience teaching and working with young people and adults, both face-to-face and online.
A Personal Approach
No two students are the same and they certainly shouldn’t be treated as if they are.
Academic success is based on a firm understanding of the subject matter but also relies on a sense of personal fulfillment and engagement. I always endeavour to help my students discover their own interest in each area being taught, and tailor my approach to their personal style of learning.
I am a very patient and friendly tutor. I keep my lessons relaxed and enjoyable while maintaining my student’s personal drive.
Biography

At school, I passed my O levels early and then studied Maths, French, German and History to A level. I was accepted to read Modern Languages at Cambridge University and then switched courses to Law, graduating with a BA (1992) and MA (1995). I qualified as a specialist technology lawyer in the UK (University of Law, Bristol University) and practised for 24 years before relocating to Brisbane with my Australian wife and our children. I am currently requalifying as an Australian lawyer, studying at QUT. I am an experienced public speaker and writer and I regularly train other lawyers, face-to-face and online.
I enjoy working with young people and teens.
I hold a Blue Card for Queensland, Australia. In the UK I was DBS cleared to work with children, running a Scout troop for several years and acting as Data Protection Officer for our local school. I also served as a town councillor for over a decade. Along the way, I have also been a Town Crier and an international tea merchant!

What I do when I am not tutoring
I am a keen runner, swimmer and cyclist and busy father of two children.
I love a good quiz night – my claim to fame is winning 5 Gold Runs on Blockbusters (you may have to google that one!)
